Misty was shown at the SCASC show this past weekend. She did very well under breeder judge Leslie Sorenson. She took a 5 point major and went Best of Breed over specials. Misty is one point away from finishing her ASCA championship.
Over this past weekend the Iron Rose dogs did well. Lock won winner's dog. He beat his half brother, Doubloon, for the 5 point major. Doubloon got reserve winner's dog out of the 6-9 mo class. He was determined to give his brother a run for his money! Lock then went on to get best of winner's and Best Opposite Sex over several specials. Cha Ching also made her first showing out of the puppy class. She showed awesome on her first outing.
Karros, Jackie and Sax got to chase sheep around when they were just 7 weeks old. Karros is now owned by Laura and Dave Gillice, Jackie went off to train as a SAR (search and rescue) dog wth Brad Finch and Sax is now loved by Amy and Mark.
Because Dodger carries one copy of the Hereditary Cataract gene, we opted to test our four show prospects in order to make the most informed decision on which ones would go to show homes. To our surprise and delight, all four puppies tested came back clear of any mutation.
I just received news that Bryn, Calais Carolina Coffee Tea or Me went winners bitch, best of winners and was considered for breed at the specialty in Minnesota. Thank you Monica LaMontagne for finishing my bitch while I play mom to puppies.
